I wish I could be at the bridge school benefits later this month for the Buffalo Springfield reunion. That will be something.

I heard that Willie is gonna do some campaigning for Proposition 19 in California too. Santa Cruz is high enough whether this ballot measure passes or not.

The mayor looks like Jerry Garcia, plays the guitar and gets stoned. Police dispatchers don't even want to hear about your next door neighbor smoking a fattie on his back patio. You gotta be a drug dealer, stoned out of your mind behind the wheel - or the biggest asshole in town to get busted for weed any more...

Watched Neil, he sounded awesome and I was very impressed how one guy with an electric guitar can command a stage so thoroughly. Little heavy on the 'read the labels' stuff, but it was a benefit show, after all.

He was awesome, wasn't he? I thought the banter was kind of hilarious because he was preaching to the choir, but that's Neil sometimes. So ballsy of him to play "Hitchhiker." If you liked what you heard last night, I heartily recommend his latest, "Le Noise," if you haven't already checked it out.

Have not-but will. Silver and Gold is an absolute masterpiece IMHO!
